Tammi Baxter Appointed Director of Denver’s Spa and Salon
at the Brown Palace Hotel
City’s newest Spa to benefit from her diverse background
DENVER, CO. (April 28, 2006) – Tammi Baxter has been appointed Director of the Spa at the Brown Palace, it was announced by the Hotel’s Managing Director Marcel Pitton. Bringing more than ten years of spa management and technical expertise, Ms. Baxter takes the helm of the 25-member staff of Denver’s newest Spa.
Her previous experience includes posts as Spa Director and District Manager for Stonewater Spas in Boston and San Diego. Prior to joining the Brown Palace, she served as a paramedical aesthetician and trainer at Facial Aesthetics in Denver. She trained in Medford, Massachusetts at the Elizabeth Grady School.
The new $3 million Spa and Salon at the Brown Palace opened its doors in late December 2005. Comprising 5,200 square-feet the Spa features 6 massage, facial and water treatment rooms, as well as separate men’s and women’s relaxation areas complete with Swiss showers and steam rooms. A private couples’ and celebrity suite with dual hydrotherapy tub for two provides deluxe pampering. A full service hair and nail salon is also located within the two-story Spa. It can be accessed from the Hotel’s atrium lobby as well as a separate street entrance.
The Auriege Paris line of cosmetics and skin care products is offered on an exclusive U.S. basis at the Spa and Salon at the Brown Palace. It is known for its global anti-aging and chronobiology, and features five customized programs and five essential oils designed to follow “day and night,” as well as “seasonal” cycles. The Spa and Salon at the Brown Palace also offers a signature product line that can be found in the guest rooms at the Top of the Brown, as well as for sale in the Spa’s gift shop.
Lunch and snacks may be ordered from the special Spa menu, or the hotel’s Room Service can deliver food and beverage from its menu to the Spa. For visits to the Spa, complimentary valet parking is provided by the Hotel.
Downtown Denver’s only Mobil Four-Star, AAA Four-Diamond hotel, the Brown Palace has been open every day since August 1892. It is a charter member of National Trust Historic Hotels of America, and is managed by Quorum Hotels & Resorts, a full service management company headquartered in Dallas.
